Hoppy Tuesday!
Erhh, What’s Up Lovely doves?
Back with some Fashion realness. Idk about you guys, but I find Easter to be one of the most odd Holiday’s to dress for. There is this weird urge to suddenly PLUNGE into a pastel moment… or even worse, wear yellow? I’m not sure how to dress EVER for this Holiday. We were never much of the Easter Bonnet type growing up, so my family has always kept Easter, very casual.
Today I want to walk you through a couple of looks I threw together for every kind of Easter situation. Casual, Casual/Dressy, and Dressy. Fun right?
Let’s Hop to it.
(Hating myself for every shameless Easter punn I have made thus far)
Casual Look
When I say “Casual,” I’m talking… a day full of eating, then hittin’ the couch for a nap with your family type of day. This is what the Bannon’s are all doing, so this outfit is most likely what is happening. A big comfy pastel colored sweater is right on track with the Easter color palette and super cozy as well. Throw on a metallic accent and you’re set! I actually paired this look with some furry slip-on sneakers! Very “Bunny-esque.”
Here are some pieces I have found, inspired by this look! I am finding that this Pastel Cardigan is getting SO MUCH USE for my pop of color. Grab one for yourself!
Dressy Look
Let’s have a hot minute for this SUPER FUN skirt…
This skirt just screams, EASTER. Am I right? If you’re the type to go to a big Easter Brunch, or your Easter Celebrations are a little more Extra, then I have you covered here too. No stress! If we’re getting fancy, let’s get Easter Bunny just vomited on you kind of Fancy. Too much?
We’re going to play up the pastel, and spring colors MAJORLY. Easter is a fun Holiday to dress for.. like I said earlier. You can get away with a color palette you wouldn’t typically get away with, and you can play with as much girly-ness as you want, because it’s Easter, and why not. Skirts, dresses, or pleated pants. We can do it all! I have linked a bunch for you below.
I had to get my fur into this outfit SOMEHOW. So, I paired this little ensemble with some Faux Furry, Ankle strap heels.
Casual/Dressy Look
If we are being honest.. this entire shoot we did for these looks, Banks was off in the distance watching us. This is a candid of me trying to keep her entertained!
Casual/Dressy, my favorite way to dress. I love the idea of an outfit being able to get you through lunch and dinner. Does that make sense? Something casual enough to have an outdoor lunch, but fancy enough to go to a fun dinner spot! Efficient. Duh? So here we have a shirt that I have made work in more ways than I even anticipated. I have paired this with jeans, leather leggings, skirts… you name it. I love the neckline on all girls. There is something about it that is really elegant, yet casual… but always sexy! OOHHHH! I will not embarrass myself and let you know how, A. OLD these jeans are… and B. Where they are from. This is mainly because, BOTH answers will age me horribly. I have linked some fantastic ideas below for a Casual/Dressy Easter look. I paired this ensemble with some scrunchy grey, peep-toe booties.
THESE ARE THE ONLY SHOES I WILL BREAK MY “NO PEEP-TOE” RULE FOR!
Are we feeling inspired?
Are you ready to take on the Easter Holiday with a fashionable twist?
Hopefully so. I think I am going to host this year… Kevin is already trembling at the thought of having to get the house together. Cannot wait to pull out all of my psycho antics with him!
Happy Easter
