Well, look who came back for more!
I got you with this title didn’t I? Welcome back to BurbNChic. It has been a minute since I have written any blog posts, and for good reasons. I never want to write a blog post, just to get out content. I want to bring you beneficial Fashion posts that are memorable. Sometimes, those content ideas don’t come to mind rapidly, so I have to wait it out.
Todays post is genuinely one of my favorites. Dupes. Pronounced, “d(oops).” This is when you find an easier, less expensive version of a popular item. If this isn’t me then I don’t know what is. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE designer items like any other basic bitch. However, there are certain things that I am JUST NOT going to spend tons of money on. It’s important to have a keen eye, and be able to distinguish if something is going to be a staple or a trend. NEVER spend all of your money on a trend, ONLY spend on staples. Rule of thumb.
I am going to take you through some of my favorite Dupes. These are obviously current popular trends. This post will most likely be a continuous post, which is exciting in itself. So let’s get it poppin’

You guys all know how I feel about this Jumpsuit if you follow my Instagram story Hauls. IT IS GOOD! I had a hard time pulling the trigger on the Olivia Culpo by Express version, even though I knew it was an amazing silhouette. I was about to spend the $80 and then I found this one, and was instantly sold.

Trendy trend trend. If I know one thing about these slides, it is that slides are a trend and not worth the money. Go for the Dupe on these.. I call these my “Fucci” slides. “Fake Gucci.” I love these as a toss on to run out in leggings and t-shirt.
Okay, so this is unreal right? Dirty Sneakers for $500. Mhm… the dirty look will cost ya! THANK GOD someone came up with a less expensive version of these. I think they are so fun, but no. I am so sorry influencer world but I could put $500 into something clean! I will say though, everyone that notices me wearing this dupe, and knows about the obnoxious price on the real version gives me the most sincere, “Did you ACTUALLY buy those?” and then I laugh and break the news.
This was fun right? I am such a soul sister with those of you that feel me on this topic. Do NOT get me wrong, I love to splurge on staples. I have my Gucci belts and my Louis Vuittons, but there are just certain things that if the dupe is right, I will go with the dupe. Maybe this has inspired you to search the web before you drop a quick $500 on dirty sneakers!
Until next time…
