Tellin’ you what, CoCoNut!
Hey hey. What’s good? Ya know it’s weird, I always ask questions in my blog posts, and for some reason nobody answers them. You guys, I do genuinely give a shit. Like…… Come on for real, what is good? Because I need to know so I can buy it, or do it.
Speaking of good, I want to talk GOOD beauty products today. I always find myself racing for the next best thing, and I feel like I am in a very good rotation of great products these days. With Winter approaching, I have recently within the past two years become the most crackly skinned person. Is this what 26 means you guys? Because what the eff. So, I wanted to spill the tea for you guys on my current favorites. I say current because this could change within a week if I were to find something better. However, I have used all of these products for at least a month, some of them for years, and I am going to tell you why I like them, whether you give a shit or not.
Let’s Get Started!
COCO Shea Body Lotion
By Bath and Body Works
I know what you’re thinking… because it is exactly what I would be thinking. “Just another bath and bodyworks lotion.” But NO! Let me tell you something, I have taught dance for years and years… I have been gifted EVERY SINGLE Bath and Bodyworks lotion you guys, and THIS ONE has taken the number one spot. Even over the Stress Relief with Eucalyptus that I adore so much.( If you don’t know which one I am talking about, Here it is . ) This CoCo Shea line that they have come out with at BBW has kinda changed things for me. Once I became super crackly skinned, (last time I’ll use that phrase, I swear) I started to really care what kind of lotion I was lathering up on myself. PLUS! The biggest thing for me, is that I have started to lotion in the morning after a shower, and at night before bed. Kev has even started to notice my soft arms. Take my word for it. Just the other day, I was running through the grocery store in sweats and a baseball hat, fresh out of bed, potentially bra-less, and a very sweet lady chased me down the water aisle to ask me what perfume I was wearing. I told her I wasn’t wearing any, just a lotion and she practically licked me she was so impressed with the coconut smell. JK, but she did love the smell of it.
No more convincing, I will leave you with a direct link, so you can buy this amazingness yourself. Happy Holidays!

Kristin Ess Hair Products
Yum, yum, yum for your hair! Okay so I must admit, this packaging is 50% of the reason I bought these products. I mean, look how pretty it looks in your bathroom shower. Does anyone else care what their products look like in their shower? Shit, just me? Great. Anyways, not only is the packaging a great first impression, but then I opened the bottle and smelled these products, and I could not put them in my cart fast enough. Not only that, I feel like they work really well. Ever since starting the blonde journey, I have struggled with finding a conditioner that genuinely kept my hair untangled. These products give you that, “just left the salon” feel to your hair. Healthy and clean.
The leave-in conditioner is also a huge help for tangly hair, wanna-be blondes like me. I am just going to mention one more time, the smell of this product is absolutely unreal. I can do an every other day wash to my hair and the smell lasts for my off day. Pretty much the only selling point you need right? AND! This styling powder is an awesome dry shampoo substitute. Let’s just say, I read an article on how dry shampoo can make your hair dry out at the root and fall out, so I have been trying to find a substitute that gives good volume. You need just the lightest sprinkle of this powder at your root, and you get the same effect as half the bottle of dry shampoo. Just saying…
Rodan and Fields Micro-dermabrasion Paste
Holy shit you guys. I feel like I can just stop right here. THIS IS THE GAME CHANGER! Let me start here, I was gifted this container of heaven about a year ago… I went through it like a ravenous flaky-skin monster, and I tried to find something equally amazing at A LOT of different stores. I have officially found myself back with this product. This is the face scrub from the Gods. Not only does it exfoliate like an esthetician from heaven, but it leaves with you with a dewy texture on your skin that gives your skin that babies ass kind of feel. Let me tell you, I feel like people are absolutely effing killing it with the Rodan and Fields distributing, and they officially have me as a customer.
My best tip to give you: Use this product and then apply your makeup. Wowzaaaaa! You’re welcome.
Find someone, anyone who is a seller for Rodan and Fields, and grab this jar of gold. No really, it is actually gold in color….
Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Masque
This is another product that I bought years ago, then tried to find a cheaper equal, and came back to this product, FAST! First of all, Clinique is the real OG of the makeup/skincare game. I can remember when I first started wearing Make-Up and my mom was like, Okay if you’re going to wear make-up, we’re going to buy you really good quality makeup. Not some wet-n-wild bullshit from Walgreens. Thanks Mom. However, I should have probably stayed with Clinique instead of getting lost in Sephora and clogging up my face with stage make-up. I have come out the other end of that escapade with this product right here.
I feel like Clinique did a major re-brand a couple years back, and they made all the right kind of changes to their products and looks. You go, Clinique. This masque is so easy after a simple, non-acne, cleanser at night. I wake up, and my face feels really soft, and moisturized. I was struggling to find moisture on my face for the longest time, and I now fully credit this Moisture Surge line for helping me make a turnaround.
Listen to your Mom kids! Use Clinique!
GLOSSIER. ‘Boy Brow’ Gel
Okay, Okay.. So I will admit it took me a second with this last product. I was not instantly sold with this eyebrow gel, AT ALL. I went from using Anastasia brow gel, to Glossier. , and it was like going from fruit to veggies. Just something totally different. Was that a bad metaphor? Whatever. ANYWAYS! I thought at first that this ‘Boy Brow’ Gel, was way too subtle and not dark enough. Then I realized, no bitch… you were looking a little whack with my dark ass brows and blonde hair.
Let’s say I have toned it down on all levels. My hair is not so fake anymore, and my brows are a more subtle brown. PLUS! I have crazy thick brows to begin with, so if you struggle with the same thing, then this is your perfect brow product. The price is right, and I can now say that the product is right too. This product was like a hot bath, super annoying at first, but justtttttt right after a minute. I use their “Brown” shade, but they have other options as well.
There you have it. All my Fall/Winter favs that I will be using throughout the next few months. Basically if you want to smell insanely good, be soft and smooth, or have a NORMAL looking brow, these products would be great for you as well!
