Back by popular demand, I am here today to give you a step inside my home. I realize that a post like this is a little out of the ordinary for my blog. However, I felt that I have spoken SO MUCH about my “Cloffice” that I needed to share where all of the BurbNChic magic happens. There are so many good stories along the way, so let’s get started!
But before we do, I want to put an image into your brain. The BEFORE image of this room, turned Closet-Office. When we bought this house, almost two and a half years ago.. We knew we were taking on a Fixer-Upper. With 3 bedrooms, I knew I could do something fun with our spares, being that we wouldn’t need them for children at this time.
Check. It. Out.

Clothes and Shoes.
When I initially started this Closet idea, I knew I needed LOTS of space. As posted in the “Before” picture, there was only one measly closet to store all of my goods. Let me just tell you, when I lived with my parents, before moving into this house… I took up a total of THREE closets with all of my things. Up until about a month ago, I STILL had clothing at my parents house.
Hello, my name is Kylie and I am a shopaholic.
So back to my storage.. I found these awesome “Wardrobe’s” at Ikea. I did make a couple of adjustments to them, obviously. The handles that they came with were not my style. I removed those and replaced them with a more simple handle. But the biggest add-on that I did to each of the displays, was adding lights. They turn on when you open the door, and I swear to you every time I do open them I hear a little Hallelujah choir. “Ahhhhhhhhh.”
(Can you Peep some previously worn dresses?)
The best part about these Wardrobes is that they have A LOT of space. There is shelving all along the sides, where I store my t-shirts, shorts, tank tops. Anything that you can fold! The best part is, when they are closed.. there are mirrors. You will notice throughout my office, there are TONS of mirrors.
No I did not fill the room with mirrors out of Vanity. I actually did so, to make it look bigger. I jam packed a lot of storage pieces into this room, so I had to let it breath with some mirrors. Even my desk is one big mirror. (Keep Scrolling to see.)
I must say, when it comes to my “Shoe Wall” I think this is the idea, that sparked the entire remodel. I would say it is the focal point of the room. I also wish I could tell you that this is all of my shoes…. but it is just the ones that look fun on display. I have shoes packed into every crevice of my house. These shelves are so simple, and also from Ikea. Kevin had SO.MUCH.FUN. putting these up.. you should ask him.
Side Note: Kevin is secretly SO PROUD of this room. Obviously, it is all of my design, but the fact that I have this room… gives him something to tell people when they first come to our house. He will literally invite them up to my Cloffice, unannounced to me, and I just pray I didn’t leave any underwear on the floor. After all, it is a closet.. I do change in here.
Back to our regularly scheduled program, I have linked these items below for you to shop! (Shoes and Clothes are NOT included.)
Finding a place to hide, or display all of my extra’s was the toughest part of this project. I didn’t want to keep adding shelves or drawers, so I decided to configure a way to properly display it. It is a walk in closet after all.
For my jewelry, I went to Home Goods and bought a shit ton of different organizers. After thoroughly going through all of my jewelry from years past, I was left with this satisfying amount.
Are you looking for similar organizing products? I have linked a ton of great deals below.
I hunted for the perfect piece to make this room have a girly touch. Considering this is MY room, I could make it as girly as I wanted, and not have to worry about Kev co-existing in it. Enter my mirrored desk! I had so many stipulations when it came to this look. I knew I wanted faux fur, and my biggest thing was that I did NOT want a typical rolling desk chair. Everyone fought me on this when I was designing this room, and boy am I glad I went with my gut.
I designed this room forever ago, but LUCKILY these major items are still online and available to purchase!
I have linked them below!
If you know me at all, you know that my style is girly. However, I like to keep it fun and throw in some random exotic elements. Like Golden Peace Sign Hands, or Skulls with Headphones on. Whyyyyyy Not!
Adding in these little touches put that finished feeling onto this room. It is so random, so eclectic, but it really embodies my personality. You can shop these items, or similar items BELOW!
There you have it.
A look into my little sanctuary. A place I like to come in, and feel inspired. I style here, I work here, and basically I live in here. Now you know where all of the BurbNChic Magic is made!
