Vegas or Bust.
Hey all. For those of you following along, I recently spent some time in Vegas. I have realized people get excited when you tell them you’re going to Vegas, when in reality I have been going there for over 10 years, every summer. The thrill of the belligerent drunks and the tits and ass really dies down after a couple visits. But hey, its always a good time!
This visit was one for the books. I spent 8 days working, even though none of it ever FEELS like work, and then 3 days with Kev. This post is just a tiny look into all that we did, but I wanted to highlight the entertainment, the food, and the outfits of course.
Let Me Set the Scene.
Travel Companions: Diane, Lauren, Logan (later on, Kevin)
Relationship: Boss and Co-Workers, Fiance
I kept saying this the entire trip, but I’m not sure there is any other crew that I would do Vegas with. There’s just enough similarity and whole hell of a lot of peer pressure, to make the trip fun, and interesting. ALWAYS interesting! Anyways, there are about a million and 10 stories I could tell you about how we laughed til we cried, fell down a flight of stairs, or ate Pigeon but you don’t want to hear about that right?
Oh, you do?
Maybe if you keep scrolling, you’ll be lucky enough to hear about it!
Restaurants.
STK
(The Cosmopolitan Hotel)
This place is a MUST, let me tell you why. First of all, the ambiance is fantastic! There is a DJ, so somewhat of a clubby atmosphere, with the BEST music! Nothing like a little 50 Cent with a steak.
Must Haves: Wagyu Sliders, Truffle Butter Steak, Cucumber Mint Martini, Mac N Cheese, and if you leave the establishment without getting the donuts for desert, you’re a complete idiot.
This place was so fun and delicious that I actually brought Kev back when he got into town.
Javier’s
(The Aria Hotel)
OKKKKKKKK. Let me tell you something, I have not shut up about this meal since I had it. Lauren? You too? I’m telling you, I have had my fair share of Mexican Cuisine, I mean I’m about to marry Kevin Filotto so we LOVE Mexican…. but THIS meal was by far the best Mexican food I’ve had in a while. I have thought long and hard about that statement and here I am, stating it.
Must Haves: Jalapeño Margarita (Obviously), Enchilada and Crunchy Taco Combo
THANK. ME. LATER.
Canonita
(The Venetian Hotel)
I know, I know.. ANOTHER Mexican joint. But hey, I was with Kevin so naturally this was where he headed after his flight landed. We discovered this place a few years back and we love it! Honestly, this place has a very memorable location. It is located in The Venetian and is right alongside the water with the Gondola’s. They have awesome food, and great ambiance. Done!
Must Haves: Spicy Margarita, Chips and Guac, Chicken Quesadilla
In my opinion, any Mexican restaurant that can have a Quesadilla SO GOOD that you have adults ordering it, is a GOOD Mexican Restaurant.
Picasso
(The Bellagio Hotel)
Fancy as hell. Loved it! This meal was so Scandalous! We went to this beautiful place and immediately followed it up with Magic Mike, it almost felt wrong! We went from Pinky’s Up to Pants down. (The Magic Michael’s, not US!)
Anyways, this was a 5 star dining experience. Located right on the water at The Bellagio, we were given the royal treatment! Diane is always one to get me out of my chicken finger/french fry comfort zone and this was the test. I think I half-way passed! I had a delicious Quail Salad. I actually really liked it, it was prepared like Fried Chicken! I skipped out on the Pigeon, but there was plenty of other delicious new tastes!
Must Haves: Warm Quail Salad, Salmon, Pineapple Upside down Cake
The Still
(The Mirage Hotel)
This place is so relaxed its almost refreshing. Kev and I found ourselves here a couple of times just for a night cap. We stayed at The Mirage so it was a nice place right outside our elevators that had good drinks, live music, but not too loud or crowded so you could actually have a conversation. LOVE!
The cute part about this place is that there is a Food Truck inside of the restaurant, and you actually order all of your food outside of it. It’s memorable, I like a good detail.
Must Haves: Sliders, Chips and Guac, BBQ Chicken Quesadilla’s
If you’re looking for just some drinks and appetizers, this is your spot!
The Pantry
(The Mirage Hotel)
Two words… Blueberry. Pancakes.
This is our place. It feels like home base to us whenever we are in Vegas. Located inside of The Mirage, this little joint has everything you need. Cute Country Kitchen with good food! Lauren and I hoofed it from Planet Hollywood to The Mirage JUST for this breakfast. Naturally I took Kevin here as well seeing as it was right in our hotel once Kevin arrived.
Must Haves: Blueberry Pancakes, Actually… ANY of their pancakes, Turkey Club, Donuts for Desert
You’re gonna love it here. Get on board!
Entertainment.
Did I mention….
Magic Mike?
Ya, it happened. I laughed the ENTIRE Time, in the best way possible. This all started as a joke that we would go, and it became a reality. And honestly you guys…. it was good!! Naturally we went into it wanting to be super critical of the dancing, but all of the guys were great dancers and super entertaining. It was the movie in real life. Nothing more, nothing less. And if you’re thinking what Kevin was thinking, there was NO frontal nudity, Promise!!
Funny Story.
When we were purchasing the tickets, Diane was teasing Lauren and I that she was going to buy front row seats, or “Front Row Couch” I should say. After much squealing and head shaking, she decided not to because we were so nervous. Upon arrival into the theatre, we were the LUCKY ones chosen to in fact sit FRONT FLIPPING ROW/COUCH. “We didn’t sell these seats tonight, so we’re gonna put you guys here.” LIKELY STORY BRO!
Thinking back on it though, front row made it that much more funny and entertaining to me… so I’m glad I was pushed out of my comfort zone. Even if it was for male stripper dancers.
Marquee
What a night to remember. We had a great time here! Literally so much fun I couldn’t stop dancing, even after I fell down a flight of stairs.
Let me back up.
I had been to Marquee Day Club before so I knew that it had a great vibe because The Cosmopolitan just naturally has a fun vibe! I didn’t expect the Nightclub to be any different. We went here our second night in, and met up with some childhood friends of mine/ dance teacher peers! Shoutout to you Callie and Paige!
Here is all I will say… or ask I guess. Why in the hell do they take you up to the club in a nice elevator with VIP treatment, and when it is time to go they escort you down a back stairwell after many Limoncello shots! Straight up 10 flights of stairs, high heels, shots and HERDS of club go-er’s. ANSWER ME THIS VEGAS????
You know how this story ends. I have already hinted.
Outfits.
I was absolutely TERRIBLE at photographing ANY outfits from this trip. I know, horrible blogger right? But every time we would get ready, we were off and running!! No worries though, I have kept it simple and put together some of my outfits that I wore, right here for you!
Dinner at STK with Kev

Well that was a doozy wasn’t it? I love it. We had the best time on this trip!! I hope if you ever find yourself in this crazy city, you can refer back to this post or pass it along to a fellow friend!
I’m off for now, to travel some more!
