Hello!
I’m assuming you came to this post so I could convince you that those pricier items that sit in your online cart, might just be worth the purchase. Well, today we are talking all about items that are worth the extra dollar. You’re in luck! These are items that you have contemplated many times, but just weren’t sure you would get good use out of them. We all have been there, the back and forth between wanting to buy into something and holding off because you just weren’t sure. (This is a daily occurrence for me.)
I am going to take you through some items that I have found to be “worth the splurge.” I love finding a bargain just as much as the next guy, but when it comes to splurging on certain items, you have to consider their longevity. Nothing is better than buying an item that you know you will have for years and get great use out of.
Let’s get started.
Doc Marten’s

You don’t have to scroll too far on my Instagram feed to see that I am absolutely infatuated with Doc Marten boots. I have received so many messages from people asking if these boots are worth it, and it is genuinely what sparked this entire post! YES. One thousand times, Yes, they are worth every penny. Shoutout to my 90’s babies whose parents used to put them in these as a five year old. For style Inspiration, and to see how I style my doc Martens, check out my Pinterest page, BurbNChic Style .
Canada Goose Winter Coat

If you ever get the feeling that owning a Canada goose is equivalent to a strange secret society, then you are correct. I will never forget the weekend we stayed in downtown Chicago, in the dead of winter, and Kev and I froze our asses off walking around. It felt like every time we turned a corner, we saw someone in a Canada goose and that’s when we decided that we had to join the club.
Pro tip* If you AND your s/o want Canada goose coats, then buy them for each other as a Christmas gift and kill two birds with one stone.
That’s what Kevin and I did, and we haven’t regretted it. Not even once. These coats are like a warm hug. I actually sometimes get SO WARM in mine, that I have to take it off and “backpack coat” it. If you are unfamiliar with this feature, it is two straps located inside the sleeves of the coat that you can wear like backpack straps without having to carry your coat. I’m not entirely sure that’s ACTUALLY what they’re for, but I saw a woman at Zara shopping with it like that once. I have never been so shook about a coat feature in all my life. GAME CHANGER!
Dagne Dover

It’s true, I am a recent Dagne Dover fan. My sister just gifted me a Dagne Dover backpack for Christmas (2020) and I am thoroughly enjoying everything about the brand. I know this can seem a little pricey for a backpack, but I can assure you, it is worth the splurge.
The neoprene fabric is what sells me on this brand. It is easy to wipe down or wash. Not only does Dagne Dover have SUPER CUTE colors and styles, but the amount of storage and compartments in these bags is unmatched! I use my backpack as my “teaching bag” which always seems to have a ton of things inside of it. There is a spot for everything! AND, it has a “slip over your suitcase handle” strap on the back for when you are traveling. Genius!
Barefoot Dreams

I know this brand does not need much explanation. These robes and blankets go on every single gift guide I have ever done. But let me tell you, I have yet to come across someone that has not gushed over Barefoot Dreams products. I have gifted these robes to all of my elders, and they love them!
You can almost always find me shlepping around my house in my Barefoot dreams bath robe, or one of my many Barefoot dreams cardigans. But these slippers are next on my radar! Just do yourself a favor..
Until Next time!
